On February 11th don’t forget to bring a can of soup to church!
There will be two boxes, one for the San Francisco 49ers and one for the Kansas City Chiefs. Place your can (or cans) into the box of the team you want to win the Super Bowl.
All of the cans of soup will be tallied and the team’s box with the most cans will be declared the winner.
All of the cans of soup will be donated to the food pantry and given to those families who are in need.
Bible nerd alert!
Here is the moment almost none of you knew to be waiting for. But let me tell you why I am so excited about it. Many of you have asked me which version of the Bible you should be getting. There is never any one correct answer to that question. However, this newest edition of the NRSV-Updated Version is an excellent place to start.
The previous version of this Bible is called the HarperCollins Study Bible. It has been a standard in the academic study of the Bible for years. And now there is an updated version. What is there to update?

The Lancaster Heritage Chorale will be presenting their final concert for the 2023 Christmas season in our sanctuary at 4:00pm on Sunday, January 7, 2024. This is a wonderful way to spend a cold winter afternoon. If you have never attended one of the Chorale’s concerts you are in for a treat.
