The Wednesdays of Lent 2020

God’s Gospel of Hope

Following Ash Wednesday, February 26, we will be gathering for mid-week worship of Holy Communion on the Wednesdays of Lent. Those dates are March 4, 11, 18, 25 and April 1 at 12 noon and 7:00 p.m. This year the theme of Pastor’s Eshbach’s homilies will be God’s Gospel of Hope. With the words and deeds of Jesus as our guide, we will reflect upon the abundance, generosity, freedom, witness, responsibility, love and faithful expression of Jesus into our present time.

Assisted by the writings of Walter Brueggemann in his book A Gospel of Hope, Lent is a wonderful time to remember the good news of Jesus Christ, and dedicate ourselves into renewing God’s good news through our practices which reflect that good news in today’s world.
